Time to catch up!

January 17, 2014

Mia lost another tooth today. And just before bed, she dashes off a quick note to the Tooth Fairy to leave with her tooth. Clearly mistaking the Tooth Fairy for Santa, it's actually a request for the Tooth Fairy to please leave her some pixie dust.

Me: Umm...if the Tooth Fairy actually leaves you pixie dust, what do you plan to do with it?
Mia: Fly!

Of course...how could I not know that?

And then there's Will...

It's Show and Tell day at preschool. They were asked to bring what they got from Santa/favorite Christmas present. And here's my boy, getting ready to demonstrate the stapler - yes, you read that right, a stapler - that... he got from Santa.

You can imagine how that conversation went when he was sitting on Santa's lap with Mia in Disneyland...

Santa: And what would you like for Christmas, Mia?
Mia: A Nintendo 3DS!

Santa: A very popular choice! And what about you, Will?
Will: A stapler.

Santa (clearly thinking he misheard): A skateboard?
Mia: That's not what he said. Tell him again, Will!
Will: A STAPLER.

Santa: A stapler?
Will: Yes! A stapler!

Santa: A stapler...well...hmmm... (clearly at a loss)

I hear all the kids in his class now want a stapler after his demo (and then the demo of REMOVING staples with the bonus stapler remover Santa gave him).Photo: And then there's Will...
